Moleskine Review #3

Moleskine Review #3

August 1st to August 28th

I fell in love with the cover the instant I laid eyes on it. I am a girl that loves Batman.

The pages are a filled with ink drawings, watercolors and colored pencils. Some of my favorite drawings I made with these cheap old colored pencils that I bought at Michael's ages ago. I am really happy with what I was able to accomplish with just the yellow, brown, pink pencil.

I think I am improving but my portraits have a long way to go.

Moleskine Review #2

Moleskine Review #2

July 1st to August 1st, 2015

This was a moleskine that I already had. Rather than tear out the first two pages, I covered over them.

L'il Gotham is one of my all time favorite comic books. I love the aesthetic of his work. I did a few studies of his work in this book.

I also started really experimenting and exploring with different ideas.

My little Whosum shows up several times in my this notebook.

Moleskine Review #1

I have never been completely satisfied with my skills as an artist. I have always found it hard to see myself making any progress. That's why I started with moleskines. I can look through each book and see my development as an artist.

I carry my moleskine everywhere. Currently, I'm on my fifth.

This is a review of my first set to music.

A Mythical End to a Weird Week

Sketchbook Weirdness and the Wheel of Mythicality

I discovered Rhett and Link about a month ago. After a frustrating week, catching up on the mythicality that happened before I discovered the show is a nice way to relax.

I can't say that any specific thing went wrong this week. Stress, stress and more stress put fractures in my already fractured psyche. I filled the fractures with Mythicality and drawings.

Thank you Rhett and Link for inspiring me to new levels of surreality.

Moleskine Doodles

Pages from My Moleskine

I've been in a weird mood for the last few days. Today the result of this mood was an emo Pepe, an annoyed Courage and a blue bomba.

The bomba's blue because I didn't have any grey on hand when I was drawing him.

I was trying to draw my way out of the mood. It hasn't quite worked.

Whosum #4 - If you're Afraid of the Dark...

Growing up my favorite book was Remember the Night Rainbow. The other inspiration is obvious.

Whosum #3 - The Door

I didn't like how the strip came out the first so I redid it in Photoshop.
