Quickly

The Ghost of Redbeard the Pirate is hijacking cargo ships.

Too Much Detail Recap

The gang reads in the newspaper about the ghost of Redbeard the Pirate raiding freights. They decide to help Mr. Magnus, the owner of the shipping line, by investigating the mystery. They drop in at his penthouse apartment but the butler denies them entry. They disguise themselves as room service and get in to see him. Mr. Magnus tells them that his family is cursed by Redbeard.

They take a boat out on the water to hunt down Redbeard's ghost. They use a recording of a foghorn and a fog bank as part of a plan to lure Redbeard. Their plan backfires when Redbeard's boat rams them. They are forced to climb onto his ship.

The gang is separated. Shaggy and Scooby are attacked by Redbeard's ghost then by a floating sword. Redbeard and his crew capture Shaggy and Scooby. He agrees to spare their life if they cook for him. They prepare ghost pirate stew with chains, ash, cobwebs, soap and seawater. Meanwhile, Velma, Fred and Daphne find tubs of dry ice.

While escaping the pirates, Scooby and Shaggy fall off in a wooden tub. Unfortunately, Fred, Velma and Daphne are trapped on the boat.  The ship goes into a skull cave. Scooby and Shaggy follow closely behind. Redbeard chains Fred, Velma and Daphne in the cave. Fred is able to free them by getting the key with straws and gum. By the time they escape, Shaggy and Scooby have caught up.

They find tire tracks in the cave. The tracks lead them to a secret entrance. Behind the door, they find the stolen cargos. They also find Redbeard and his crew. They fight off the pirates. Shaggy and Scooby accidentally capture Redbeard.

They unmask Redbeard to reveal Mr. Magnus. He was hijacking his own ships to raise the money to save his shipping line.
